| At 2229 hours Station 77 and Medic 324 were dispatched to 118 Harvard Drive in Trappe Borough for an alarm sounding. Neighbors reported smelling "something" and feeling sick.
Medic 324 arrived and found a smoke condition inside the effected house and Box 74-03 was filled out for a structure response adding Stations 34 and 66.
Ladder 77 crews were able to gain entry to the house and found the entire house filled with smoke and Station 86 was added as the FAST team.
While interior crews pulled a handline off the ladder and did search & rescue, they quickly were able to locate a burning pot of food on the stove and removed it from the house bringing the incident under control.
Crews then went to work venting the smoke from the house with fans. While 34 and 66 crews checked the exposed house and no smoke was found in them. PSP arrived on scene since no one was found to be at home.
Crews were just in service for an hour and returned. |
