Dwelling Fire - 426 Adrian Road (Perkiomen Township)

Station 66 Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Station 86 Skippack Fire Company, and Ladder 77 were dispatched to a dwelling fire at 0052 hours for a reported kitchen on fire in the 400 block of Adrian Road in Perkiomen Township.

DC66 arrived quickley and reported a confirmed fire which added Quint 53 (FAST) Lower Providence Fire Department and Rescue 98 (Cascade) Royersford Fire Department. Two additional engines were also added from Limerick Fire Company and Schwenksville Fire Company.

E66 crew placed 2 handlines in service. Ladder 77 arrived and placed ground ladders on the A-alpha and D-delta sides. Ladder 77 crew then used saws to complete roof ventilation. Once the fire was under control units remained on the scene for about 2 hours for overhaul and clean up.

Trappe Fire Co. No. 1 EMS was on scene standing by as well as for firefighter rehab. Unfortunately the home was uninhabitable and the Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents with shelter. There were no injuries as a result of this fire.

As a reminder, all homes need working smoke detectors to give early warning to fires that occur during the night. Please make sure you test your smoke detectors to ensure that they function correctly.
