With all the snow falling over the area over the past week, we at Trappe Fire Department would like to ask all citizens and residents to take the time to shovel or plow around the fire hydrants in front of your house / business. With the deep snow it makes it hard for firefighters to see and find fire hydrants in an emergency, plus we loose valuable time when we have to dig out the hydrants ourselves.
We are asking all residents to take a few extra minutes that could SAVE A LIFE in a fire emergency and clean the snow from around the fire hydrants.
