| Stations 34, 77 and 66 were dispatched to a reported house fire at 143 Stine Drive in the Collegeville Crossing section of the Borough. Several neighbors reported flames from the second floor windows.
DC77 arrived within 2 minutes and confirmed a working fire on the 2nd floor "D" side. Chief 34 arrived and took command and DC 77 took operations. Engine 34 made entry and went to work with their hose line putting water on the bedroom fire. Additional arriving units went to work for search and rescue for any residents and one dog. All searches were negative and the family dog was pulled from the first floor and removed outside, EMS checked dog and the family took him to a local Vet for treatment. Crews vented the exterior windows and roof.
Crews continued to fight the fire and it was not under control for about an hour. Fire had spread from the bedroom to the attic and also to the first floor ceiling. After the fire was under control crews did overhaul and started to pick up and release.
Station 34 and Fire Marshall Units remained on scene for investigation.
Check back later for some picutres!! |
