Station 77, Engine and Squad 34, Engine 66 and Ladder 54 were dispatched to 716 W. Main St - apartment 6 Trappe Borough at 1529 hours, for a lighting strike. The caller reported the building being hit by lighting and the walls had been "blown in" and there was smoke in the apartment.

A heavy summer thunder / lighting storm had just passed through the area, prior to this call.

77 units arrive at 1535 hours and DC77 sets up "Main St Command". Units go in service to investigate the lighting strike and find that there was also an active water leak, due to the lighting hitting the apartment. Interior crews secure the electric service and no active fire is found.

The incident is place under control at 1555 hours and all units released except Station 77.

During this incident SD 34 was diverted to 66 East 7th Ave for a tree down blocking the roadway. SD34 and Chief 34 used chain saws to cut up the tree and remove it from the roadway.
