Station 99, SD53, Chester E68-2, Chester L65, SD46, and E93 were dispatched to the 1400 block of Longford Rd in the Oaks section of Upper Providence Twp. at 0756 AM for a reported chimney fire. The homeowner reported smoke and flames from the chimney.

Chief 93 arrived shortly after dispatch and reported fire showing on the B side, second floor and R86 and Chester Medic 85 were added to the assignment with the confirmed fire procedures. E93 is told to pick up the hydrant in front of the house, across the street.

Chief 93 assumes "command 93" and requests an additional engine and ladder, this adds E34 and L77. 93 Command then requests another additional engine and ladder. Station 77 was able to staff both L77 and E77 with six (6) each and both responded. L98 and Air 51 were then dispatched.

L77 and E77 arrive and crews go in service to place ground ladders up, go to the roof to cut two (2) vent holes and once the fire was under control they completed overhaul. 77 crews were on scene for over 2 hours until released.

Several companies were on stand by at various stations: R54, TW47, L37. Thanks to station 41 Canten for the HOT drinks and breakfast sandwiches.
