Fire Call #: 222

Station 77 and Engine 54 were dispatched to Feceras Furniture at 1840 Ridge Pike in Upper Providence Township for a woods/field fire. Tac 77, Engine 77, and 77 Fire Police responded from Station 77. Field 54 responded from Station 54.

At the intersection of Ridge Pike and Kline Road the crew of Tac 77 noted a large volume of smoke coming from the parking lot in front Feceras. Upon arriving approximately seven bushes and mulch were on fire. The only exposure noted was a telephone pole which the fire did not extend to.

Tac 77 initiated fire suppression and overhaul of the area on fire. Captain 77 advised Engine 77 to stand-by at the hydrant on the D-delta side of Feceras. Captain 77 advised field 54 to come up aside Tac 77 and assist with overhaul. The fire was placed under control at 16:18:20. Units continued to wet down and overhaul the area to ensure the fire was extinguished. Upon completion, Field 54 and Engine 77 were released from the scene. Tac 77 used one tank of water to extinguish the fire.
