Tonight firefighters from Trappe Fire Company were hard at work training completing two rolling response scenarios to simulated house fires.

The first scenario took place at Pacer Lane in Trappe Borough while the second scenario took place on Fieldcrest Drive in Upper Providence Township.

The first scenario incorporated a basement fire. Crews laid in from the hydrant and found they had to extend a preconnect due to the set back of the house from the road in order to reach the walkout access for the basement.

The second scenario incorporated a fire on the second floor with extension into the attic. When crews arrived on location they laid in from the hydrant and a "hysterical" caller was running to fire department personnel indicating her husband ran back inside for their two kids. An attack line was deployed to the A-alpha side. Crews encountered the kids hanging out the second floor window on the D-delta side. A ground ladder was placed and all three victims were removed. A smoke machine was used to simulate smoke pushing out of the building and the smoke detectors inside of the house were going off.

The audience on location also got a fire prevention lesson!!! Thank you for all of your constant support!!! Our training never ends!!
