This morning Trappe Fire Company units along with Collegeville Fire Company were dispatched to the Trappe Shopping Center for a gas leak inside Goodwill Fashions.

Upon arriving Ladder 77 encountered multiple people complaining of headaches and requested additional ambulances to the scene for evaluations. An odor of electrical was also reported from the office inside.

Township of Upper Providence Department of Fire & Emergency Services Engine 93 was requested for additional manpower.

Crews investigated and metered the original occupancy, surrounding businesses, as well as the roof top of the strip. No readings were noted on the meters and the odor began to dissipate over time. The cause for the original incident is undetermined at this point.
