On Monday, April 13th at about 17:30 in the afternoon, Trappe MICU 324-1 was dispatched to assist on scene at a building fire in the Linfield Industrial Park. The MICU 324-1 responded immediately to the scene where the crew set up a medical station on the fire grounds, and provided safety and rehabilitation screenings to the firefighters working to subdue the blaze. The fire was located in an old abandoned factory in the industrial park. First units arriving on the scene reported heavy smoke and flame from a three story structure. Trappe MICU 324-1 remained on the scene along with the EMS crew from Royersford MICU 325-3, while the firefighters from Limerick Fire Department, the Royersford Fire Department and the Ridge and Norco Fire Companies all worked hard to get the blaze under control, and stop further damage to surrounding structures.
