Station 34, Engine and Ladder 77, and Tanker 66 were dispatched to a commercial gas leak inside located at 50 West 3rd Ave, Collegeville Borough. The Commerical building called Collegeville Station, is a two story structure with multiple stores inside. The odor was first reported coming from suite #208 ( Dance Depot) located on the first floor.

Battalion 34 established command while Deputy 66 established operations. Ladder 77's crew placed 5 gas meter in service on the second floor and had a slight odor in Troubles End Brewing's kitchen. The 5 gas meter did not pick up any readings while on the second floor. Tanker 66's crew had a slight odor at the A/B corner in an exit hallway right below Troubles End Brewing. Tanker 66's 5 gas meter had a 2% LEL reading. After closing ventilation points the odor increased at the A/B corner in the hallway.

Command requested PECO to respond. PECO located a stronger source in Troubles End Brewing's kitchen. The source was found to be a pilot out on the salamander unit. The pilot was secured.

The odor was removed by positive pressure ventilation and all units were clear and available at 10:51 hours.
