Back to Back Calls - Including Gas Leak Inside Target

The first call Trappe Fire Company was dispatched to was a building investigation at the 100 block of Larchwood Court in the Perkiomen Woods Development in Upper Providence Township at 1956 hours.

Engine 34, Squad 34 and Ladder 77 responded to the scene. While clearing a call, Field and Deputy 66 arrived to assist. While on scene crews found a faulty water heater causing an electrical odor inside. Crews secured the power and all units were clear at 2018 hours.

While Ladder 77 was heading back to the station, Montgomery county 911 center alerted Ladder 77 to a commercial gas leak inside Target located at 1824 Ridge Pike, Upper Providence Township. Engine 51 and Squad 34 assisted.

Ladder 77’s crew found a HVAC system on the roof causing the gas odor to go inside the building. Crews shut off the HVAC unit and cleared the odor from the building. All units were clear at 2122 hours.
