Oven Fire in the Trappe section of Upper Providence Township

Station 77, Engine 93, Engine 34, Squad 34 and Tower 99 were dispatched to an appliance fire on Longacre Drive in Upper Providence Township around 1305 hours.

Police arrived on scene with an oven on fire with a smoke condition inside and possible fire in the wall. The call was upgraded to a working fire dispatch bringing Medic 324-1, Rescue 98(cascade) and 86 as the RIT.

DC93 arrived and established command. Engine 93 was the first to arrive and establish a water supply while pulling an line to the A/D side of the dwelling. Engine 77 arrived as the second in Engine and assisted Engine 93 with the investigation. Tower 99 and Engine 34 assisted with ladders, checking for extension.

The fire was placed under control at 1320 hours. Crews removed the oven and checked for extension with negative results. Engine 77 and Engine 93's crews placed PPV fans inside to remove smoke.

All units were clear at 1400 hours.
