House Fire with Entrapment in Perkiomen Township

Station 66, Engine 51, Engine 34 and Ladder 77 were dispatched to the 500 block of King Road, Perkiomen Township at 1440 hours.

Deputy 66 went responding and received numerous calls of a house on fire with possible entrapment. Deputy 66 arrived on scene and confirmed there was entrapment on the 2nd floor. Deputy 66 requested a second alarm box.

RIT 86, Tower 53, Engine 52, Tower 51, and Rescue 98 were added along with Medic units from 324, 336, and 308C.

Engine 66 was the first unit to arrive on scene and proceeded to the 2nd floor where they found a victim in the master bed room. Engine 66's crew brought her to the steps where members from Engine 51 and Ladder 77 assisted in removing the victim out the front door.

324-12 and 324-1 transported the female to Pottstown Hospital were they were later flown by PennStar 1 to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Ladder 77 responded and arrived on scene establishing the first due truck assignment. Ladder 77's crew pulled a handline and assisted with the fire suppression inside while Engine 66's crew were making the rescue. Engine 77's crew provided fire suppression on the C side of the building.

The fire was placed under control at 1512 hours. Ladder 77 remained on scene until 1743 hours. The fire is being investigated by the Perkiomen Township Fire Marshall and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall.
