It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Trappe Fire Company member Bob Lang. Bob was 94 years old and continued as an active member through January 2022. In later years, he enjoyed participating in the Santa Run, July 4th Parade, and attending training and monthly company meetings. He joined the Fire Police at Trappe Fire Company in 2006 when he and his family moved to the Trappe area. According to Fire Police Captain, John Wentworth, “Bob came to all calls, it didn’t matter if they were at night or inclement weather. He was committed to training and enjoyed interacting with other members. He will be missed.” Around the fire station Bob was known as a kind and gentle man.

In addition to being a World War II Veteran (USN), Bob had a career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper. After his retirement, Bob ran with Lower Providence Ambulance for many years as a driver before joining Trappe Fire Company.

A private service is being planned. Please keep Bob’s wife and family in your thoughts and prayers.
