New Freedom Valley Medical Rescue
Formed Through Merger of Trappe Ambulance and Harleysville Area EMS

October 18, 2022 – Trappe, PA: Trappe Fire Company has announced that its EMS Division, formerly known as Trappe Ambulance, has consolidated with Harleysville Area EMS to form a new regional EMS organization, to be known as the Freedom Valley Medical Rescue (FVMR). They will use Montgomery County Station 376 as their identification. Locations and staffing will remain the same, so residents can expect the same high-level of emergency response in the combined territory.

According to Trappe Fire Company President, Richie Schroeter, “Planning for this transition began in earnest over a year ago with the goal of combining resources, equipment, and personnel. This change will result in a more efficient and effective EMS organization to better serve the community.” Although the transition went into effect on October 15, 2022, re-branding of the new organization and ambulance fleet will continue through the end of the year.

General questions about the consolidation or EMS service should be directed to FVMR at 215-513-1880 or visit https://www.facebook.com/freedomvalleymedicalrescue
