Trappe Fire Company was dispatched to assist Collegeville Fire Company on an oven fire located at the 600 block of East Main Street, Collegeville Borough around 0228 hours.

Collegeville police arrived on scene to a working oven fire with extension.

Ladder 68-2 arrived on scene and pulled a hand line to the kitchen. Lower Providence Fire Company Tower 53 arrived and assumed first due truck.

The fire was extinguished by a fire extinguisher and crews checked for extension.

After no extension was found, crews from Engine 34 and Ladder 68-2 removed the stove from the building. Ventilation was needed to remove smoke and odor from the building.

All fire units were clear at 0330 hours.
