Station 68 A and Engine 34 were dispatched to 220 Plaza Drive at Duck Donuts in Upper Providence Township for a fire alarm around 0827 hours. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a building fire as employees called 911 saying smoke was coming from the bathroom.

Ladder 68-2 was dispatched and responded with a crew of 3. While en route, a box alarm was dispatched to 172 Harvard Drive in Trappe for smoke on the roof from an vacant residence at 0842 hours.

Ladder 68-2 was redirected and responded to 172 Harvard Drive and arrived on scene as the first due Ladder. Ladder 68-2 officer completed a 360 and established command.

Crews had to force entry and investigated the smoke. Crews also used Ladder 68-2 and went to the roof to investigate.

Units found the smoke to be steam from a heater with no fire or issues.

Thank you to the mutual aid units that responded to Trappe Borough and Upper Providence Township.
