At 0701 hours, Ladder 68-2 was due to assist Station 53 ( Lower Providence Fire Department ) for the dwelling fire at the 3000 block of Landis Mills Road, Lower Providence Township.

BC 53 arrived on scene to a 1/ 12 story with smoke showing. It was determined that fire was in the wall from a wooden stove.

Ladder 68-2 responded with a crew of 3 and arrived as the second due truck. Ladder 68-2 crew was tasked to do a secondary search and assist with ventilation.

After all searches were complete, crews rescued a chicken from the residence.

All units remained on scene until 0930 hours.
