At 1655 hours Trappe Fire Company was dispatched to the 500 block of Hagey Place for an odor of natural gas. Shortly after dispatch, the call was upgraded to an appliance on fire. This added several mutual aid departments.
Units arrived on scene to find a dryer on fire that had extended to the laundry room.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported.
