Station 77 Responds to 3 Crashes and a Building Fire within 24 hours

Trappe Fire Company was dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of West Main Street and 1st Ave in Trappe Borough around 0735 hours Friday morning.

Units arrived on scene and found 2 vehicles blocking the road with no injuries. Units remained on scene and provided traffic control, clean up, and vehicle stabilization.

This is the 3rd crash Station 77 was dispatched to in the last 24 hours. Two in Trappe Borough and one in Upper Providence Township.

At 1727 hours, Station 77 was dispatched to a Building Fire at 130 West Main Street in Trappe Borough.

Trappe Fire Company was staffed as the Perkiomen Valley Duty Crew and arrived on scene 3 minutes after dispatch.

Crews found a haze in the building with an odor of electrical burning inside.

During the investigation, it was determined that the electrical odor was from a burned motor from a HVAC unit of the roof.

Unit remained on scene until 1810 hours.
