PV Duty Crew Responds to Barn Fire in Upper Frederick

At 1845 hours, Upper Frederick Fire Company along with Red Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Green Lane Fire Company were dispatched to a brush fire near the area of Hauck Road and Snyder Road in Upper Frederick Township.

Chief and Deputy 87 went responding and received numerous calls for a barn fire with animals trapped in the 1400 block of Snyder Road.

Engine 77 was staffed as the Perkiomen Valley Duty Crew and responded on the working fire dispatch at 1854 hours.

Engine 77 with a crew of 6 arrived and assisted with additional manpower for fire suppression and overhaul. Engine 77’s crew worked together with crews from Upper Frederick, Red Hill, Green Lane, New Hanover Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services Lower Frederick Fire Company, and Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company to control the fire.

Our thoughts and prayers go towards the family who lost their animals in this fire, we are extremely sorry for your loss.

Engine 77 remained on scene until 2050 hours.
