| Trappe Fire Company has officially been licensed as a QRS unit by Montgomery County DPS.
What does QRS stand for? QRS stands for Quick Response Service. It is a state-certified service (primarily in Pennsylvania) where trained personnel, often from fire departments or search-and-rescue teams, provide immediate, on-scene emergency medical care.
Over the past several months, Royersford Fire Department Friendship Ambulance and Trappe Fire Company have teamed up together to provide quick EMS services in Trappe Borough.
We also want to give a huge shout out to Deputy Chief Bree Godin from Friendship EMS for helping Trappe Fire Company. She helped us logistically and with medical supplies.
We also want to give another shout out to Tim Dunigan from the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety with helping us achieve our certification and answering all of our questions during the certification process.
We wanted to inform the residences of Trappe Borough that some medical calls, the fire department will be responding with trained medical personal.
