At approximately 11:38 a.m., Upper Providence Township Fire & Emergency Services and the Royersford Fire Department were dispatched to a brush fire near BlackRock Road and 2nd Avenue in Upper Providence Township.

As crews were responding, the fire rapidly spread due to windy conditions and dry brush in the area. Squad 68 requested additional resources, and two brush trucks—TAC 77 and Chester Field 61—were added to the response.

TAC 77, staffed by a crew of four, assisted with fire suppression operations and collaborated with the crew from Engine 98.

Traffic 77 and the 77 Fire Police provided support by closing Old State Road and 2nd Avenue to ensure safety and facilitate emergency operations.

Additional brush trucks, engines, and a tanker from Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Phoenixville Fire Department, Kimberton Fire Company, Limerick Fire Department, and Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company also responded. These units assisted with fire suppression, water supply, and provided additional personnel at the scene.
