At 12:20 PM Engine 77 was dispatched to reports of a telephone pole on fire at 378 W. Main Street in Trappe Borough. Arriving units found flames and smoke coming from the top of the telephone pole. Engine 77 placed a request for PECO to be diverted to Main Street due to the fact that there was a lot of arching from the wires and many explosions as well.
Immediately following this, the fire began to extinguish itself. Chief 77 arrived on scene and called for 77 and 34 fire police to be dispatched to handle traffic control. PECO came on scene within a half hour and began working on the telephone pole. After another half hour had passed, PECO had everything under control and all 77/34 units were released.
