| Station 54 responded to a trash truck on fire at 113 N Township Line Rd. While responding several more calls were received and police on scene reported a fully involved cab / engine with extension into the trash compactor.
Chief 54 requests station 77 also dispatched. Engine & TAC 77 respond with a total crew of 11 FF.
Engine 77 arrives and manpower assists with hose line and engine 77 supplies SD54 with water. Tac 77 arrives and goes in service with foam.
Chief 54 then requests Tanker 66 dispatched for water supply. Tanker 66 arrives and supplies Tac 77 with a 3" line and then fills SD54 and E77.
Fire is under control and FM84 starts investigation. After investigation, more foam is applied to entire truck cab and private tow truck arrives to remove truck.
Fire Police keep roadway closed for about 4 hours during clean up and while the truck is removed. |
