Station 77 & 324 were dispatched to 97 W Third Ave for an accident with injuries at 0654 hours. Additional callers reported entrapment and Rescue 34 was added to the box at 0655 hours.
FM68-2 on location on his way to work confirmed 2 trapped in 2 separate vehicles. Medic 325 also dispatched.
Chief 77 arrives and sets up command. E77 responds from the south side of the accident and sets up fire safety and stabilizing. R34 arrived on the north side and goes to work removing the driver's door of unit #1. The other driver is able to be removed without rescue.
Both victims are transported class 3 to PVH and R34 goes available.
Station 77, 77 and 34 Fire Police remain on location blocking traffic in both directions during clean up and PSP investigation.
