Members of Trappe Fire Co. pulled out their razors for a good cause and shaved their heads.
Bic razors promised to donate $400.00 for every person who shaves their head, with a Bic razor of course, to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Tom Sheehan and Paul Giannini became involved with the foundation through the organizations big truck convoy last year and learned about the Bic challenge recently. They put out a couple of emails looking for volunteers and ten members showed up willing to become bald for the cause.
A crowd gathered that included members of the media to watch the hair fly.
The money is donated on a first come, first serve basis, so videos of the shavings were uploaded to youtube with the links being sent to Make A Wish for confirmation.
Last year Tom and Paul raised nearly $3000.00 for Make A Wish and hope this event will increase their donations this year.
