Ladder 77 was dispatched with stations 99,34,53, and 98 on a building fire, odor of smoke inside at Wegmans Market in the Providence Town Center.
AC99 arrived to find the building evacuated and a odor of smoke inside. AC99 took Command.
Ladder 77 responded with a crew of 5 and arrived on scene and headed straight to the roof to investigate.
After investigating it was found the cause of the odor was coming for the trash compactor, the trash compactor was pulled away from the store. Fire crews used handlines to extinguish the fire in the trash comopactor.
