At 0709 hours Stations 77, 34, 66, 54 and 53 were dispatched to a reported fire in the roof of the Trappe Car Wash located at 753 W. Main St.
The Car Wash is currently under renovation and a smoldering fire in the roof area was discovered by contractors when they arrived for work.
The fire was contained to the roof of the control room for the car wash. The fire was under control in a short period of time and crews remained on location for overhaul.
The abandon car wash has been empty for over one (1) year and will be opening soon after renovations are complete. This morning's fire will not interfere with the renovations.
