| This morning Ambulances and Fire Trucks from Trappe Fire & EMS responded along with Station 66 and 34 to the Perkiomen Valley High School for a "mock" vehilce accident with rescue.
This was presented by the students at the High School to prevent drinking and driving during the upcoming Prom season.
Students witnessed first hand what a Drunk Driving accident looks like up close. Complete with crashed cars, injuried students, emergency workers and Police Officers arresting a drunk driver who casued the accident. Station 77 landed MedEvac 3 Helicopter to take away a serious injuried student who, as part of the scenario, later passed away.
Students later in the day also saw what happens to the drunk driver in the court system and the "Shattered Dreams" of those persons involved in the deaths casued by Drunk Driving.
Trappe Fire Company urges all students not to drink and drive so they don't become a "Shattered Dream".
Thank you to Station 66 and Perkiomen Valley High School for allowing us to be involved in this important message. |
