| Around 1916 hours a building fire was dispatched at Wojton’s Nursery on Main Street in Upper Providence Township. Fire departments from UPT Fire & Emergency Services, Limerick Fire Department, Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Collegeville Fire Company, Skippack Fire Company, and Lower Frederick Fire Company were dispatched.
Chief 51 from Limerick Fire Department arrived on scene with a large greenhouse on fire. CH 51 assumed command.
Ladder 77 was staffed as the Perkiomen Valley Duty Crew and arrived on scene within 3 minutes as 1st due engine.
Ladder 77 forced entry laid a supply line and deployed multiple hand lines to knock down the fire from spreading to other greenhouses. Squad 68 arrived and 68’s crews assisted with supplying water to Ladder 77 and with deploying hand lines with Ladder 77’s crew. The fire was quickly under control. Fire Police from Trappe and Limerick assisted with closing Main Street down while fire apparatus were on scene.
