July 4th House Fire in Perkiomen Township

On July 4th around 0927 hours, Station 66 ( Perkiomen Fire Department) , Engine 34 ( Collegeville Fire Department ) , Squad 86 (Skippack Fire Department) , Engine 52 ( Lower Frederick Fire Department ) Ladder 51 ( Limerick Fire Department) and Ladder 77 were dispatched to a residential house fire located at the 100 block of Lincoln Drive, Perkiomen Township.

After numerous calls of a house fire, Deputy 66 arrived on scene to a 2 story single family dwelling with fire on the C side. Additional RIT responded from Lower Providence Fire Department and medic units from Skippack EMS and Friendship EMS.

Ladder 77 responded and arrived on scene assuming first due truck. Ladder 77's crew provided primary searches, ventilation, and ground ladders. Due to the intense heat, extra manpower was requested brining Engine 78 ( Upper Salford Fire Department) and Engine 89 (Harleysville Fire Department) . The fire was placed under control and 77 units remained on scene until overhaul was completed and clean up.
