Storage Shed Fire in Upper Providence Township

At about 1640 hours, Station 77, Engine & Ladder 98, Engine 34, and Engine 93 were dispatched to 300 block of Rittenhouse Road, Trappe Section of Upper Providence Township for a dwelling fire. The caller reported smoke and flames showing from a shed.

While units were responding, the police arrived to find a 8X10 shed which was approximately 30 feet away from the residence fully involved. AC 93 went with the confirmed procedure which brought Medic 324, Air 66 and Squad 86 as a fast team.

Engine 93 arrived and pulled an attack line while Engine 77 arrived and supplied Engine 93 with water. Ladder 98 and Squad 34 also arrived on scene and assisted with man power. With a quick extinguishment of the fire, and no extension, AC 93 recalled all units besides units on scene.

Engine 77 remained on scene for an hour for overhaul. All units clear at 1745 hours. While Fire Police closed the roadway.
